Static and dynamic modeling

1. 3D geological modeling

This stage includes 3D modeling of the structural framework, facial three-dimensional modeling, modeling of petrophysical properties, reserves / resources estimation. Experts of various disciplines are involved to choose the most correct methods for creating models that can be used both in reserves / resources estimation and in planning well programs. Conceptual models, 2D/3D seismic trends, and regional data are used to achieve the result. If necessary, a 3-dimensional DFN fracture model is generated and optimized for the subsequent hydrodynamic modeling. Priority in the work is given to the methods of stochastic modeling, which allows to evaluate various scenarios.

2. Dynamic modeling

Hydrodynamic modeling works may include:

  • Analysis of initial information and field development
  • Evaluation of data for finalizing PVT models, phase permeability curves]
  • Dynamic modeling from scratch on unstructured grids with direct resolution of wells, hydraulic fracturing, structural features. Selection of optimal parameters for lateral and vertical rescaling
  • Development of an history matching strategy, implementation of history matching according to the criteria of monitoring models
  • Solution of complex optimization tasks: development system, completion, production technology, pressure maintenance, workover, etc.
  • Construction of a double porosity model
  • Assessment of the prospects for the introduction of technologies for the field and individual well pads.
  • Multivariate modeling for building a decision matrix
  • Work in interdisciplinary project groups (geology, geomechanics, fracturing etc)
