Analysis of oil and gas potential prospects and evaluation of license blocks
Based on the available well, seismic, field and general geological information on the region, understanding of the geological setting of the region and the main promising objects is formed.
The results are processed well data, a framework of seismic data, structural constructions (maps, fault models) for identified promising formations, conceptual and sedimentation models of the formations.
Integrated projects for the creation of geological models, evaluation of new accumulations, revising already discovered fields
1. Processing 2D/3D seismic data of various levels of complexity
Kinematic processing of seismic data using the following approaches:
- construction of the low velocity zone (LVZ) model based on the dispersion spectra of surface waves (the first 50-100 m)
- construction of the LVZ model based on refracted / refracted waves
- embedding check shot velocities
- layer replacement
- embedding the LVZ model in the depth velocity model (DVM) for depth migration and its subsequent refinement/update/fixation
Static and dynamic modeling
1. 3D geological modeling
This stage includes 3D modeling of the structural framework, facial three-dimensional modeling, modeling of petrophysical properties, reserves / resources estimation. Experts of various disciplines are involved to choose the most correct methods for creating models that can be used both in reserves / resources estimation and in planning well programs. Conceptual models, 2D/3D seismic trends, and regional data are used to achieve the result. If necessary, a 3-dimensional DFN fracture model is generated and optimized for the subsequent hydrodynamic modeling. Priority in the work is given to the methods of stochastic modeling, which allows to evaluate various scenari
Outlining of standards and processes for companies for well prioritization, preparation of exploration programs, pilot drilling, exploration drilling, processing of field production data
This range of work is consulting and is mainly offered for small companies, which, unlike large corporations, may lack approaches and standards that allow making informed decisions when choosing drilling sites. The works are aimed at standardization of processes, development of templates of input geological-geophysical and technical-economic materials, which are presented by the project team to management.
Preparation and maintenance of exploration programs
1. Expert support of 2D/3D field seismic operations
In these works, a group of experts provides consultations on the preparation of field work, technical evaluation of tenders, examination of the program of experimental and methodological activities (EMA) prepared by the contractor, examination of the work performed by EMA and finalizing the initiation and registration program. After the start of seismic field surveys, the expert team can perform daily maintenance based on reports, perform intermediate and final quality acceptance during the field season.
Core description
Specialists can perform a detailed description of the core for terrigenous and carbonate sections with a description of lithology, diagenetic features, structural and textural features, determination of facies, lithotypes.
Based on the description, specialists develop conceptual models of formation and alterations of the studied layers.
Project management for planning and drilling of wells
1. 1D geomechanical modeling and assessment of borehole stability
The data of geomechanical core studies, well logs data, well drilling and regional features of the tectonic regime are analyzed in order to calculate and predict the fields of reservoir pressure, rock pressure and hydraulic fracturing pressure. Based on the results of modeling and a thorough analysis of the drilling results of previous years, recommendations are prepared for the design of wells, the selection of drilling mud, the risks of wiring and stability of the wellbore are identified and described.
